Reverend Ken Otto is the Senior Pastor here at Bloomingdale Alliance Church. He and his wife Micki are proud parents of three children, Karen, Paul, and Kendra, and grandparents to nine grandchildren and one great grandson.
Pastor Otto and his wife Micki are originally from Savannah, Georgia where he attended Savannah High School in Savannah and in the year 1966 began attending Toccoa Falls College where he graduated in 1970 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Theology.
Rev. Otto’s first pastorate was at Autonomy Baptist Church in Toccoa, Georgia for five Years. In 1971 he started Beth-El Alliance Church in Savannah, Georgia where he served for five years. In 1977 he was called to Bloomingdale Alliance Church in Bloomingdale, Georgia where he has been currently serving as Senior Pastor for more than 32 years. Rev. Otto is also currently serving on the C&MA South Atlantic Districts “Church Health Team” and over the years has been involved within the district for a number of years serving in various capacities. His favorite pastime activities are camping and spending time with friends. His favorite scripture verse is found in Joshua 1:9, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.'' Pastor Joe Ortiz - Joe is our Assistant Pastor of Evangelism and Outreach. He and his wife Becky were saved as children. Becky at a VBS in St. Petersburg FL, and Joe after a Billy Graham crusade in New York City. They met in Tampa FL as teenagers while Joe attended the church Becky's dad (Rev. Daniel E. Tanner) pastored. In 1978 they married in Savannah,GA. Since then they have served faithfully in Alliance churches in GA, SC, and NC and returned to GA in 2005 to come on staff here at the Bloomingdale Alliance. Joe has Evangelism & Outreach training with Campus Crusade for Christ, Evangelism Explosion, Way of the Master, and Open Air Campaigners, also Evangelistic Preaching Training from The School of Evangelism - Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He leads teams to take the gospel off campus into the streets, hospitals and businesses. They have two grown children Edward and Candace. Sharon Govero has been our Disciplemaking Ministries Coordinator since July of 2003. She and her husband Ron live in Bloomingdale. Sharon grew up in the Bloomingdale Alliance church. Her family moved to Pooler in 1976 and joined the Bloomingdale Alliance church which has become just like a second family to her. Sharon works with the Educational Ministries of Bloomingdale Alliance which include the Children's and Adult Ministries, the BAC Media Center, and many other aspects of church ministry.
